Fine art? Why don't I just write a poster? Fine art, also called giclee, is a unique method of high-quality printing that is significantly different from digital printing. In order for a printout to be referred to as this, it must meet several conditions. First of all, at least 8 inks must be used for printing (what does this mean? beautiful rendering of colors and all the subtleties of shades), the inks must be pigment and not dye-based inks known from ordinary printers (which makes the work much more resistant to fading, and what therefore, it will look like it did on the day of purchase for longer), and the print base should be acid-free (so it will not turn yellow as quickly as regular paper under the influence of the sun). All this makes an artistic print, even though it is a print, created for people who want to invest in art that will be of the highest quality and which will be able to decorate the walls of their home for many years.
